“Guy Foubert was a passionate Belgian Chocolatier making handmade chocolate truffles in
Sint-Niklaas, Belgium. In 1958, Guy and Liliane joined their names, both in marriage
and in their company name creating Chocolaterie Guylian; a small, artisanal
chocolate maker. Today, Guylian crafts the finest authentic Belgian
chocolate truffles, selling them to chocolate lovers in Belgium and in more
than 100 countries across the world.” -Guylian Chocolate Website

All I gotta say is, this chocolate is fantastic! When I opened up the package, to my surprise, they were in these very elegant seashell and seahorse shapes. They almost looked too fancy to eat, my husband and I thought! These chocolates are filled with a sweet, hazelnut filling that melts in your mouth. I had several family members try it with us, on a day that they were all over and the words they used to describe the chocolate was “indulging” “creamy” and “smooth”. Of course, I had to agree with those descriptions. I personally enjoyed them at room temperature, where they would melt in your mouth, while my husband liked them from the fridge.

I’m not a dark chocolate fan in the least, but the Guylian dark chocolate truffles were delectable. I was completely blown away by the taste. I cannot tell you the last time I ate dark chocolate so fast in my life. The mixture of it, along with the hazelnut filling was astounding!

I think I have found my new favorite chocolate. You’ve gotta try Guylian Belgian Chocolate! Be sure to check out their website to learn more about their products.

  1. Well, being pregnant right now I can’t stand chocolate for the most part (though I’m getting back into it) but my usual favorite is white chocolate cookies & cream or chocolate covered berries (pretty much any kind.) Pretty sure I’m going to super crave chocolate after giving birth and I’d love to win some to stick in my hospital bag πŸ˜‰

  2. Yummo, I love chocolate! I like all kids of chocolate, white chocolate, dark chocolate and semi sweet chocolate! If its chocolate, I’ll eat it πŸ™‚

  3. I tend to love anything chocolate but I would have to say that chocolate with hazelnut is by far my favorite!
