photo 1 (1)Yes, that’s right! I was chipped this past weekend! Coupon Friendly received the opportunity to review Food Should Taste Good Chips. If you have never heard of them, please be sure to read on:

photo 2 (1)Founder Pete Lescoe created Food Should Taste Good, Inc in 2006 with the goal of making a unique new snack with great taste, real ingredients, and sophisticated flavor – the qualities he is most passionate about in food.

With a name that speaks for itself, Food Should Taste Good® chips are made from high quality ingredients. All chip varieties are gluten free, cholesterol free, have zero grams trans fats. They are also certified Kosher.  Plus, many varieties are certified vegan.” -FSTG Website

photo 4I’m not really big on trying new things….in fact, I avoid them whenever possible. It’s not that I’m a picky eater, it’s just I don’t get too curious about what’s out there. I knew, though, that as a blogger, I needed to step out of my ‘comfort zone’ and try new things. I was pretty excited to taste these FSTG chips, especially since I found out that they’re gluten and cholesterol free, and that they had no trans fat. It’s important to me that I watch what I eat and what my family eats.

When we received the box on our doorstep, my kids ran quickly and got it for me…and what good timing too…we were just about to have lunch at that time. I opened it up as they gathered closely and each of them grabbed one bag to check it out. One by one, they opened the bags without asking (shame, shame! LOL ) and started to munch down on them. To my surprise, they really liked them. Not to say that I didn’t expect these chips to taste good, but when you see “Olive” and “Multi-Grain” on the front of the packages, I really didn’t think that my kids would be interested. Boy, was I wrong! I dug right in after that. Wow! They tasted delicious. And they’re made from all natural ingredients, which is FANTASTIC!! Crunchy and flavorful are my two words to describe them. Who would have thought putting sunflower seeds and sesame seeds in chips would be such a great idea! My son LOVED the baked sweet potato chips.

photo 3My husband LOVES spicy foods, so when I noticed the box included Jalapeno, I threw the bag to him. “My mouth is watering and I haven’t even tried one yet!” He told me. After eating a few, he expressed to me that the spice is there right at the end and he feels that eating the chips with some hot salsa would make them even more delicious.

If you like hummus and peanut butter, be sure to check out this recipe for dip from the FSTG website:

All in all, I think these chips are great. I couldn’t believe that they could be so good and so healthy for you. This is a wonderful surprise. I think we’ll be buying more of this on our next shopping trip to Walmart! 🙂 Be sure to check out their website, along with their Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest pages for great dip recipe ideas.

(Disclaimer: I received 4 bags of Food Should Taste Good Chips. I was under no obligation to give a positive review. The opinion I gave was 100% my own.)
