You all ready for this? Be prepared…I have quite a few pictures splattered throughout this blog post. I have two sweet-savory dip recipes available for you all to try out for yourself! But first, I have to tell you about my thoughts on Degustabox subscription box. Coupon Friendly received the opportunity to review the Degustabox October subscription box, and I’ve gotta tell you, I love it. Here are a few things you need to know about it…..
Watch my Degustabox October Subscription Box Reveal below:
One, it’s full of food!
If you like food – I mean, who doesn’t like food?! – you’ll enjoy this box! You get around 10-15 products in each box new, out on the market.
Two, it’s not just samples!
There may be a few samples in there, but you also get full-sized products as well. This particular October Subscription Box includes Barilla Pasta and a jar of Barilla pasta sauce.
Three, it helps your creative juices flowing!
There are enough food products in the Degustabox where you can get creative with recipes. I made a chicken parmesan dish with my last subscription box, virgin sangrias, and fire ants on a log. I LOVE creating fun, new recipes for my family – as do my kids. Makes me the cool mom! *Brownie points*
Now mind you, there were a couple of products in this box that didn’t taste to my liking, such as the Palo bacon cheddar flavored popcorn. While it smelled divine, because who doesn’t like bacon-flavored anything, the taste was quite overpowering, and I could not enjoy it as I had hoped. I was looking forward to trying the Energems dark chocolate energy balls, but the taste was less than satisfactory. The Jones soda – I love the brand in its entirety, but the pumpkin pie soda left a funky aftertaste and felt more carbonated and less flavorful. A couple close friends of ours sampled it with us, and they thought the same thing.
However, with all of that said, I very much enjoyed the super fruit chews from the Lovely Candy Co.! As a vegan candy, these delectable square treats aren’t made with high fructose corn syrup, but with brown rice syrup and dried cane syrup – along with freeze dried blueberries, raspberries, and cranberries!
So with this post, I whipped up a savory dip, and a sweet dip for the Homestyle Bagel Chips (which were delish, even by themselves). You’ve got to check out the photos, along with recipes below!!
To make cinnamon cheesecake dip, you’ll need:
- Powdered Sugar
- Cream Cheese
To make the Garlic Parmesan Dip, you’ll need:
- Cream Cheese
- Parmesan Cheese
- Garlic Powder
My opportunity opened up when we had a family gathering after church this past week. A pot luck took place at our home, and I shared some awesome appetizers with Hometown Bagels Chicago Style Bagel Chips. I received two flavors in my Degustabox, garlic and cinnamon. My best friend put an idea into my head: Make savory/sweet dips for these bad boys! When I placed them on my kitchen table, all of my in-laws quickly sampled it…
….okay so when I say “sampled”, I mean they totally ate it all up – a complete success. This appetizer didn’t last long, which made me happy! The dips were not only super easy to make, but they were very delish. These bagel chips fit perfectly with them.
