Normal is Boring – My Fashion Friday Story

It’s no surprise to most people who know me well enough. This mommy blogger is an introvert. As a stay at home mom, I usually keep to myself and go through my daily routines as smooth and painlessly as possible with my kids.

But when I’m surrounded by my close family and friends, my weirdness comes out. I tend to become loud and goofy with those whom I love! I’ve learned in my 30 years of an introvert that if I keep myself “in the corner”, I’ll miss out on so many things and people. When I have felt anxious in certain situations, the inner voice inside encourages me to takes steps forward out of my bubble to gain experience and memories.

This is who I am: I’m a wife, a mother of 5 children, I’m a blogger, a gamer, I’m LDS, a best friend, a big sister, a big ole’ nerd, and so much more!

    Be You

Times are changing, as well as the way we parent. And in all honesty, I don’t want to be the mom where I’m always serious and conform to the norms of parenthood. I desire to have a distinctive  relationship with each of my 5 children. My four-year-old daughter and I find ways to make each other laugh, usually by making faces at one another. My 10-year old considers our family to be quite crazy, and the best way possible. She sees this as a strength in our family dynamic, which I love. One of my personal wishes is that my children to remember how their mom was a light-hearted mom who simply loved life and everything it involves!

Normal is boring – in every sense of the word. May we look for ways to make life more unique and exciting. Take chances and make mistakes.

Normal is average. Normal is going through the motions. Take a step out of your comfort zone and go make some memories! Be a BETTER you!
