I have always been skeptical about *night-time* products that claim to be able to help babies fall asleep and stay asleep, so when I was able to review this product, I was hesitant. I read about the brand on the internet and on the bottles themselves.
What stuck out to me is the safe and natural ingredients that they put in the Sweet Slumber line. It shows on the bottles that there are no sulfates, artificial fragrances, no alcohol or harsh chemicals included.
When I used the body wash and massage cream on our baby, I was surprised at how light the scent is. There is no need for an overwhelming scent of lavender (or any other scent for that matter), so it was nice to not to be coughing or having to leave the room because the smell was so powerful. The body wash was very soapy, but gentle on our baby’s skin. The cream was smooth and made her body soft and smell awfully good. It was hard for my husband to put her down afterwards because he loved the way she smelled from the products I used on her.
I used the gentle mist on her swing. The mist didn’t hurt the fabric in the least. It just left a light, lavender scent. After letting it air out for about 10 minutes, I decided to put my baby girl in there. She was quite cranky that I had put her down. After a couple minutes of fussiness, she started to calm down. Then, she dozed off.
The other night, I had put some of the mist in her bassinet and put her in it after several minutes had passed by. She’s not one of those babies that likes her bassinet, but again, after a few minutes of fussiness, she had calmed down and fell asleep. My husband was quite surprised, so I had to explain to him what I had used. After a quick thought, he asked where we could buy more of that stuff and if there was a product like that for our older children.
Oddly enough, I used the mist on my other children’s pillows and blankets and explained to them what it was and how it is used one evening. Needless to say, we didn’t have any problems with our children waking up in the middle of the night. I’d say that if it’s safe to use on my little 3 month, then it should be safe to use on my other small children. I like that in a product!
Genuinely, I loved these products. They’re made with natural ingredients, safe to use on my infants (and even my other children) and effective. If I were to give it a star rating, I would give Mommy’s Bliss a 5 out of 5 stars, just because it was THAT good!
