My husband and I have been planning to see Avengers Infinity War opening night the moment we saw the teaser trailer. We’re huge Marvel fans, and we knew that the movie was going to be epic. It allows all of the Marvel characters we’ve seen and grown to love over the years to come together in one amazing 2-part movie. They seriously couldn’t have fit EVERY plot point in one 2 1/2 hour movie. A great move on Marvel Studio’s part, regardless of the fact that it’ll make them millions more. I went with a group of my extended family members and we dressed up as characters from the movie. I went as Black Widow and my bestie went as Gamora!

I’m about to talk about parts of the movie, so if you haven’t seen Infinity War yet and you don’t want things spoiled, get off this post right now!

    …….I’ll wait…..

    Okay.

So before I begin, I want to start this out by saying the drive home from the theater was almost dead silent for my husband and me. We were speechless, and didn’t know how to comprehend what all had just happened. We’ve invested several years in these characters, and it was taken from us in the snap of a finger (pun intended). This was the most insane emotional roller-coaster ride I’ve seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and I’m sure if you’ve seen the movie, you’d agree. My husband explained how unfair it was to be completely distraught one minute, and then laughing hysterically the next minute. Was this Marvel’s intention to be a bi-polar movie?

Seriously though, just when you thought it was as bad as it was going to get, it got worse! There wasn’t just one or two deaths…there were SEVERAL!!! You don’t even see it coming. The Time Stone is an awful, awful stone, by the way.  Regardless, though, the movie was amazing. There was just so much to take in. I feel like we need to go to therapy over everything that happened. Like I said, we’ve invested our time, and emotions to these characters and to see everything crumble like it was nothing was painful to say the least.

    Like 8 story-lines happening…

You expect several story lines going on, because there are a ton of characters in this Avengers movie. There were a PLETHORA of story lines, and it almost gives you anxiety keeping up with all of them, but Marvel Studios does a great job moving from one to the other. But if you don’t pay attention, you’ll won’t be able to keep up. With Vision and Wanda (they’re such a cute couple!!) and Gamora and Peter Quill (they FINALLY KISS IN THIS ONE – and it was an “awww” moment) those moments give you all the feels! With the previous Civil War movie, you got an understanding of the tension between the Avengers, but Infinity War just showed JUST how much each of them cared for the other.

And what about the ONE end credit scene?! It was nice to see Nick Fury and Maria Hill make an appearance. Who’s also psyched about the Captain Marvel introduction?

With a 9.2/10 on the IMDB scale, you can’t be wrong to go see this movie again. They did a great job, despite my emotional numbness that is still lingering the next day.
